PickleRage, an indoor pickleball franchise, has announced a deal with GreenPeak Venture Partners to open 200 new locations across the U.S. over the next two years. This partnership with GreenPeak, a private equity firm managing over $2 billion in assets, represents a major step forward in PickleRage’s long-term plan to operate over 500 clubs by 2029.
The newly inked deal will provide PickleRage franchisees with critical support in site selection, lease negotiation and construction management, positioning the company for rapid growth in key markets including Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee. The private equity group’s strategic expertise in real estate and development is expected to play a pivotal role in PickleRage’s expansion.
“We are beyond thrilled to partner with PickleRage as we work with them on achieving their 2029 vision of opening over 500 locations,” said Jared Feldman, the managing principal at GreenPeak Venture Partners. “We couldn’t be more pleased with PickleRage’s progress thus far and are firmly committed to leveraging our resources to help them succeed.”
What sets PickleRage apart is its player-first approach. The clubs feature state-of-the-art CushionX courts, the same surface used by professionals in the U.S. Open, as well as superior LED lighting for optimal play conditions. In addition, the franchise offers video-enabled courts that allow players to record and review their matches, and an online reservation and check-in system to streamline the player experience.
“This is an exciting milestone for PickleRage,” said David Smith, the COO at PickleRage. “As an avid pickleball player, I know that novice and pros alike will appreciate our state-of-the-art facilities. With GreenPeak’s support, we will be more equipped than ever to achieve our 2029 vision of opening 500+ clubs nationwide. We look forward to opening our clubs in new communities across the country as we begin this massive expansion effort.”
PickleRage’s focus on technology and player amenities is only part of its success formula. The franchise is also deeply committed to building community-focused cultures through leagues, tournaments, clinics and socials, offering a year-round space for pickleball enthusiasts to connect and compete.
PickleRage’s growth will create franchise opportunities for entrepreneurs who share the brand’s passion for the sport. With over 500 locations planned within five years, the brand is seeking candidates looking to capitalize on the popularity of pickleball and invest in the concept.
For business owners and operators in the pickleball space, the rapid growth of PickleRage highlights the increasing demand for high-quality, dedicated indoor facilities. As the sport continues to surge in popularity, businesses that can offer premium player experiences and foster community engagement will be well-positioned for success.
