As pickleball surges in popularity across the U.S., Crunch Fitness is catering to fans of the sport through a unique partnership with Break The Love, a premier racquet sports booking platform.
The duo are introducing an innovative fitness program at certain Crunch locations. The program, named “Pickleballers,” is a circuit-based, high-intensity class designed to enhance strength and agility, catering directly to the needs of pickleball players.
Beginning in July and running for eight weeks, “Pickleballers” will be available at six Crunch locations in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles. This initiative is perfectly timed to meet the summer’s peak activity season, offering both members of Break The Love and Crunch an exclusive opportunity to sharpen their skills.
“With pickleball being the fastest growing sport in the country and Crunch members showing increased interest in the sport, we welcomed the opportunity to partner with Break The Love,” said Marc Santa Maria, the vice president of group fitness at Crunch, in a statement. “Our members will get the training they need at Crunch to succeed on the pickleball court, which they can book through Break the Love’s platform. We also look forward to hosting pickleball social events at our Crunch Chelsea, Hoboken and West Hollywood locations this summer.”
Crunch will host exclusive opening events to kick off the partnership. During these events, attendees can preview the Pickleballers class and enjoy open play. At the end of the series, Crunch will host three Pickleball socials that will include outdoor games, snacks and refreshments at Crunch Chelsea in New York City, Crunch WeHo in Los Angeles and Crunch Hoboken in New Jersey.
“Break The Love sees the partnership with Crunch Fitness as a great way to give our users the strength training and agility exercises they need to be able not only to enjoy, but excel in this sport that has captured the interest of so many,” said Trisha Goyal, the founder and CEO of Break Sports Inc., in a statement. “Crunch shares our mission to make sports more accessible to all, and we are excited to welcome their members to our courts and introduce our users to what Crunch has to offer.”
