The Picklr has reduced its corporate staff and is evaluating options for the company’s future, according to a message sent to franchisees on September 18.
In response to a request for comment regarding reports of a corporate restructuring, The Picklr’s public relations team provided the franchisee communication but declined to share additional information.
In the email, CEO Jorge Barragan said the company had made “the difficult decision to reduce our corporate staff.” The message did not disclose the number of employees affected, the positions involved or the reason for the reductions.
Barragan also told franchisees that no final decisions had been made regarding the company’s path forward.
“Our leadership team is actively evaluating a number of options, and we are working deliberately and responsibly through this period,” the email stated. Barragan said franchisees would be updated about material developments when the company is able to share them.
The message did not specify which options the leadership team is considering or provide a timeline for additional decisions.
Barragan said The Picklr intends to emerge as a stronger company that is better positioned to support its franchisees, members and communities. He also stated that clubs across the franchise system continue to perform well.
The company asked franchisees for patience and continued support while leadership evaluates its next steps.
The Picklr did not provide further comment beyond the September 18 email.
The Picklr was founded in Utah in 2021. As of September 2025, the company had reported reaching 50 open locations and said more than 500 clubs had been sold nationwide.
