On December 7, 2023, Pickle and Social opened its first of seven planned “eatertainment” concepts in Gwinnett, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.
The chain is owned by Competitive Social Ventures (CSV), a hospitality company that creates socially-driven entertainment concepts.
The Gwinnett location will feature six indoor, eight outdoor and two semi-covered pickleball courts, a full-service restaurant, bar and lounge, a rooftop bar, a pet-friendly outdoor lawn that includes a Biergarten, a 27-foot music stage, an ACL cornhole yard and concert viewing space, as well as other complementary indoor and outdoor games across the 4.5-acre venue.
The complex will offer memberships in addition to open play, lessons, clinics, camps, leagues and tournaments.
Memberships offer early access to court reservations, unlimited open play Sunday through Friday, early registration to all Pickle and Social events, free rental equipment, and major discounts on court reservations, tournaments, leagues, lessons, clinics, camps, and food and beverage purchases.
“Opening our first Pickle and Social is a huge milestone for CSV and we can’t wait to introduce our style of entertainment to the fastest-growing sport in the nation,” said Neal Freeman, the managing partner and CEO of CSV, in a statement.
Pickle and Social Gwinnett is the first of seven planned Pickle and Social locations in the U.S. A location in Scottsdale, Arizona will open in 2024, with additional locations planned for Frisco, Texas, and Alpharetta, Georgia in 2025.
Pickle and Social’s pickleball operations are led by Chris Wolfe, a PPA Certified Teaching Professional, USA Pickleball Ambassador and co-owner of the Atlanta Pickleball Association (ATLPBA).
